Mady Cisse is an educated young unsigned recording artist. He can be considered today as the new face of promising hip hop. He is talented and brings a fresh perspective into the music industry. “Music is first a passion before it can be a source of monetary gain” according to him. His musical technique is unique; he can adapt himself according to the rhythm of instrumentals. His lyrical content will blow any listeners’ mind. He has the ability to “flow” on any kind of recording. In fact, he recorded a variety of tracks from rap, rock, reggae, rnb, pop etc. His enthusiasm for melody goes beyond a stereotypical genre of music, his style in international!
He was born in Medina, a rough and poor neighborhood in Dakar, Senegal. He later moved to SICAP Sacre Coeur 3 where he developed his rapping skills. Just like most people from his generation, he was influenced by African rap pioneer Mc Lida, PBS, Daraa J, Jant Bi, and Sunuu Flavor. He formed different rap and rnb groups during his teenage years. He had the opportunity to perform several times in his high school College Sacre Coeur and throughout the SICAP. However, being raised by both intellectual parents jeopardizes his music career. In West Africa, most artists without opportunities deal with hardship and welfare. Therefore it is a risky career path that some people take because they don’t have a choice. Mady thus had no other alternative but to excel in school and show his leadership skills in the academic field. Nevertheless, he still worked on his music and wrote many songs over the years. He kept all his lyrics archives and keeps adding more to this day.
He has been pursuing a professional career in Public Administration with a minor in Paralegal Studies. His job experience is already remarkable: he worked for Pfizer, Inc in their New York Headquarters and The Sovereign Bank in Reading, PA. He is currently working with the Independent Regulatory Commission for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg. He had always been a leader in whatever he put his mind to. Knowledge is power and in today’s globalization ignorance is no longer an excuse for failure.
After years of debating about his future goals, today everything is clear. Mady Cisse wants his music to be heard worldwide. He wants to touch people with his melody and propel them into another dimension. He released a mix tape called “Quintessence,” it is on sale on Amazon.com, ITunes, and CDbaby etc. He also has free demos that are distributed on the streets of New York. You can also listen to him on MySpace at http://myspace.com/madycisse .
Even if he didn’t perform in many shows while in the USA, Mady Cisse did have the opportunity to give public speech to some influent government officials during his academic career.
